In the early stages of designing the product packaging for the restored film player and DVD of "Suzhou Gardens in Six Chapters," we delved into the essence of Jiangnan culture, ultimately choosing Suzhou numerals, a unique local and historical cultural symbol, as the main visual element. Both Suzhou numerals and gardens are important components of Suzhou's local culture, revealing the wisdom and aesthetics of the ancient Suzhou people on different levels. As Suzhou's diplomatic calling card, this documentary needs to convey not only a visually appealing aesthetic experience but also, more importantly, showcase its cultural heritage to the world. The use of green as the overall color scheme conveys Suzhou's concept of a "garden city." The use of subtle color contrast echoes the city's gentle and elegant character. The cover title quotes calligraphy by I.M. Pei for the documentary, combined with minimalist graphics and typography, creating a tone that blends classical and modern elements. In terms of craftsmanship, a small amount of gold foil combined with embroidery adds a touch of sophistication to the entire packaging.
在《苏园六纪》修复影片播放器及DVD的产品包装设计前期，我们深入挖掘江南文化精髓，最终选择使用苏州码子这一独具地方性和历史性的文化符号作为主要的视觉元素。苏州码子和园林皆是苏州本土文化中重要的组成部分，两者皆从不同层面上揭示古代苏州人民的智慧和审美。这部纪录片作为苏州的外交名片，需要传达的不仅是视觉上的审美体验，更重在将人文底蕴展示给外界。选用绿色作为整体色调，即传达了苏州“园林城市”的概念。使用较弱的色彩反差，则呼应温婉雅致的城市性格，封面标题引用贝聿铭先生为纪录片所提的墨宝，结合简约的图形与排版设计，营造古典与现代相互渗透的调性。工艺上则以少量的烫金结合刺绣作为点缀，为整个包装提供精致感。
